mitchell's term 3 week 5


This week we have been reading about neighbourhood niggles.

can you please give me feedback on how you liked it.






1.On this week’s Doc type the main character(s) in this issue and the pages

2. Type the ISSUE (problem).
Should Milly Morris be allowed to turn the vacant section into a kids-only park?


3. Create a 2 column table of the problem and its consequences.

Many of the houses in Nite street have very small backyard.
The kids in nite street can play at the bigger park instead of the small backyards.


4. Solution - Type who the writer is and what solution they want, e.g. Suzie Long wants Mr & Mrs Fitz to move with their hens to the country.


Milly Morris should be allowed to make a kids only park in the  vacant section next door.


5. Go to the question BELOW for the story you are working on and write a full sentence answer to the inference question for the niggle you are working on.
6. Go to the question BELOW for the story you are working on and write a full sentence answer to the CLARIFY question for your text.

5. Inference Question: What would make the empty section attractive for kids? (pg 5)


Playground with a slide climbing wall and a  ramp for scooters and bikes.


6. Clarifying Question:  What does Owen mean when he says, ‘It would be an investment for the future?’ 
The playground will stay there for lots of years.


7. Write 2 BIG questions and their full sentence answer from your text.
